at the Santa Maria da Feira High School

› Construction of a new central building that houses most of the services: Centre for New Opportunities, Centre for Teacher Training, Library, Auditorium, Recreation room, Bar, Cafeteria, Kitchen, Teachers and Staf room, Work rooms, Management room, Secretary and Reception.

› The reorganization of space was the keyword for the refurbishment of the existing buildings. A new pavilion and a closed gallery were also built which allows circulation between the main area and all the classroom areas.

› New changing rooms and a new gymnastics roomwhich can also be used as a multi-purpose roomwere made in the gymnasiumwhich was refurbished and enlarged.

› Outside a new play area was built for the practice of various sports.

› One single building with two and three foors allowing for a set of articulate functions and accessibilities.

› The main building was totally demolished so that there could be space to connect the other blocks. The other pavilions were only partially demolished so that the space could be adapted to the new modernization programme.

› To solve existing difculties, the exterior areas were refurbished and green spaces were equally taken care of.
