investors in the sense of the participating in the national investment

INDAQUA was established in 1994, as an answer to the challenge made by the State to private investors in the sense of the participating in the national investment efort to ensure the accomplishment of the Community Directives in rendering services related to the water cycle in urban networks.

This challenge was materialized with the change in the law of delimitation of sectors, which allowed the management and operation of local systems by the respective municipalities or assigned, through a concession contract, to public or private companies.

With this scenario, INDAQUA launched itself in the market with the aim of contributing toward the accomplishment of European Union guidelines within the scope of the urban water cycle, including coverage rates of local services and the level of wastewater treatment.

In compliance with the parameters of water quality and the discharge of treated efuents, INDAQUA is today one of the main players in the world of municipal concessions.

Currently the INDAQUA Group has about 200,000 active contracts at distribution of water level, serving a 579 000 inhabitants.
