have know-how. We know what we
want to do and where we are going,
and we have ambition. The ambition to
be better and bigger tomorrow and we
have audacity. Audacity of knowing that
companies are born from successes,
some failures and we must learn from
all of them”, he revealed, highlighting
once again the fundamental role of
internationalization in the Group’s
growth and sustainability.
“Internationalisation made us think
globally but act locally and that is truly
important. The past few years were
years of huge growth, a result the of
the Company's previous and current
executive management which turned
an international construction company
with a good diversification rate, into a
diversified Group in all its components”.
António Mota stressed that, in Portugal,
it is necessary to focus on growth and on
the upturn of employment, encouraging
Portuguese and foreign businessmen to
invest.
In the case of Mota-Engil, António Mota
referred that “it will emerge stronger
from this crisis. For some years we
prepared ourselves and, today, we are
present in 20 countries, all areas are
internationalised and about 80% of our
turnover comes from abroad”, he said.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors,
António Mota, was distinguished with
the award “Excellence in Leadership” by
Exame magazine, a distinction included
in the Exame awards for the 500 biggest

The ceremony took place at the Ritz

Pedro Norton, CEO of the Impresa
