CEO MESSAGE
THE RESILIENCE OF THE PRESENT
SUPPORTED BY A VISION OF THE FUTURE
T his issue of Sinergia coincides with the General Meeting of Shareholders, which, in addition to the topics related to the approval of accounts, promoted the appointment of the holding company’s corporate bodies
for a new mandate.
Thus, and taking stock of recent years, of what changed in the world, in the international nancial system and in the companies, and mostly in a sector like construction, which, in Portugal, su ered continuous degradation over the past 15 years, we see that, in spite of the tremendous witnessed transformation, we withstood so much.
Furthermore, we grew and took on the global market as our market of operation, now having a position of relevance in a few international markets in Europe, Africa and Latin America.
We broadened horizons with a strategic vision de ned in due time, creating the foundations for an internationalisation that now includes three regions of equal importance in the contribution they give to the Group’s turnover, which enables us to mitigate risk, to not depend on any speci c market and to walk along what we wish will be a path of sustainable growth and in line with our 72‐year history.
In the last term, we very consistently consolidated the Group’s international growth and signi cantly changed the Group’s portfolio, maintaining the ability to be one
of the European companies with the best operating performance and following the goal of maintaining a level of debt in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.
Starting a new mandate, we are now di erent, but born from the same values of boldness and ambition which characterise us, along with the thoroughness and strictness in the evaluation of the investments demanded by present times.
