Mota‐Engil is currently constructing the Acsiopolis building, with 20  oors, composed of multiple connected blocks and which will feature a broad living area, shopping areas, o ces and a conference centre.
It is a large construction area in Benmore, in the district of Sandton City, with around one hectare, where 763 apartments, with areas between
30 m2 and 100 m2, will rise, along with a hotel with 298 rooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, a gym, a spa, shops and an area for children. The building has six underground parking  oors.
This is a demanding construction which features a concrete structure with glass façades on the sides, and a linking structure between  oors 12 and 16 to enable moving between the building’s

East and South towers. Innovative techniques with precast beams were used in this structure.
The construction works are proving
to be challenging due to the building’s proximity to a primary school, a church and several residential apartments,
in a bustling area with intense tra c congestions, and also due to the fact that the execution of the works is not allowed on public holidays or in overtime. Still, Mota‐Engil is committed to meeting the ambitious deadline of 33 months for the completion of this iconic work.
