Association Sorriso da Criança

Mota-Engil, through its afliate Transi-tex (Grupo Tertir), supported the sending of a container to Mozambique to beneft the work of the Sorriso da Criança (Smi-le of a Child) Association. The container, which was sent to the Association’s Casa de Apoio (Support House), transported various hospital materials, medications, articles of hygiene, toys and foodstufs, among other items.

TOWNOF MONTIJO

Solidarity Institution Persona

Mota-Engil has donated, to the Municipal Chamber of Montijo, two sections of buil-ding located in the town of Montijo. The real estate was then granted free of char-ge, by the local council, to the Solidarity Institution Persona – Association for the Promotion of Mental Health, which will adapt them to create a Social and Occupa-tional support center for people with men-tal disabilities.

NORTHERN DELEGATION

Portuguese League Against Cancer

The Portuguese League Against Cancer (Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro) is an association aimed at primary and secondary cancer pre-vention, social support, humaniza-tion of care for cancer patients, and training and research in oncology. Following previous interventions, Mota-Engil once again supported the LPCC through its Northern Delegation.

Correia & Correia, an afliate of Mota-Engil in the area of Environment and Services, joins the Plantar Portugal tree-planting movement.

The aim of this movement is to contribute to the preservation of nature, the biodiversity, and the rational use of the natural resources, supporting actions of reforestation and contributing to the valorization of the Portuguese forest. In collaboration with the Municipal Chamber of Sertã and Santa Casa da

Misericórdia da Sertã, C&C supports reforestation with oak and cypress trees, in an urban zone of Sertã, with the help of children from the “O Pinheirinho” preschool and its ATL (after-school activities).

A competition was also run, to award the best works produced by children of the preschool and ATL related to the theme of the forest and its importance for the country.
