Following the external audit held at the end of last year, Manvia will integrate within the scope of its certifcation the maintenance management area in accordance with standard NP 4492 – Requirements for the supply of maintenance services. This way it becomes the frst company with an integrated management system for quality, environment, safety and maintenance management.
Maintenance is characterized by the transversal manner in which it is carried out in all activity sectors, covering a wide variety of tasks. It can also involve diferent levels of complexity and technical specialisation, either due to the specifcity of equipment and facilities where work has to be carried out or due to specifc requirements resulting from legislation on this matter.
Manvia implemented a maintenance management system in accordance with standard NP 4492, with the aim of optimising the systemisation of
maintenance operations thus constituting a diferentiating factor within the market. This standard establishes requirements applicable to maintenance providers and has the following objectives:
To promote a solution ofer of companies to customers which will aford a guarantee of predictable performance, maintaining the asset operational and reliable and thus reducing inoperability times and costs;
To establish a benchmark for the purpose of certifcation and thus allow an external recognition and consequent distinction of these companies;
To make the quality of maintenance services a permanent and transparent criterion for those who buy these services and a vector of commercial promotion and competitiveness for companies that provide maintenance services
To promote the increase of skills and innovation within the market.

Quality, environment, safety and maintenance management
Within the scope of its grinding media classifcation services, Manvia was subject to external assessment and obtained the highest mark possible.
The assessment was carried out by Ciments Calcia, European leader in the cement market when this service was provided at its factory in Airvault.
Contemplating aspects such as deadlines, service, organisation, safety and preservation of environment and price, the assessment showed the rigour of this service. Manvia got an “A” on a scale from A to D. According to Manvia this mark is the recognition of the efciency and organization of its teams that have proved to know all about safety rules, their functions and customer needs.
In addition to Portugal, Manvia provides grinding media classifcation services in the cement industry in Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy. The aim for 2012 is to explore new markets, namely Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Slovenia.
Manvia is also present outside Europe in Mozambique, Morocco, Tunisia and South Africa as a representative of industrial Japanese brands, such as AGC Ceramics and Toyo.
