The Mota-Engil Group held its usual Christmas Lunch at Europarque, in Santa Maria da Feira, on 22 nd December. This was a great opportunity for over 1,700 employees from several countries and subsidiaries to socialise.
As usual, the chairman of the board of directors of the Mota-Engil Group, AntónioMota, addressed all those present thanking them for their contribution and all the efort put into their work, despite the difculties which have been felt across the world.

in such a burdensome manner for the country, which clearly refected on the companies.
Despite the adverse environment, António Mota left a message of hope, recognising the merit of the strategy pursued by the Group which has been successful and has allowed sustainability and achievement of goals set for the Group.
“Courage”, “Containment” and “Availability” featured as the strong lines in a speech in which the chairman of the board of directors highlighted the need for cohesion, refected in an even stronger Group spirit, in all countries and in all business areas.
Since the strength of Mota-Engil lies in the fact that it is “One single Group, one single project, one single strategy”, focus was frequently given to the potential of generating intragroup synergies as the model to be followed in order to boost international growth and the consequent expansion of activities in each market.
For such purpose, there must be at all Company levels, the availability to accompany from up close the Group’s international development via a growing presence in all markets that so require.
During this gathering, and as it is tradition, seniority awards were given out to 272 employees who were distinguished one by one by António Mota and Maria Manuela Mota for 15, 25, 35, 45 and 50 years of service for the Group. For the frst time a seniority award for 55 years of service was attributed to an employee, Mário Candal.
