The corporate Portal, known as ON.ME, was launched in February 2010 and it aimed at providing a platform that would contribute toward the management of information and the sharing of knowledge within the Group.

For its development four major objectives were outlined:

› To promote the brand and corporate image;

› To simultaneously share consistent information with all employees;

› To improve productivity;

› To access knowledge and interactive and transversal cooperation.

Currently, nearly celebrating 2 years of existence, ON.ME is available in 20 of the largest companies of the Mota-Engil Group, representing a range of 2,000 potential users.

Expanding gradually, ON.ME features a growing number of people who are adhering and this can be seen by the current average of around 1,000 daily users. Aiming at constant improvement ON.ME was recently made available via web and a new layout was implemented; 90% of the users reacted positively to this change.

THE PORTAL’S STRUCTURE

The portal follows the work|life model as concept of its information architecture. According to it information should always be focused on the user and not on the organisational structure.

Therefore, it focuses on:

› What is most important in daily tasks – work area – where we can fnd the documents which are most relevant to us, functional communities or subjects that we belong to, the projects in which we are involved and applications such as the reservation of meeting room, communication costs or other utilities;

› The framework whilst employees of the Mota-Engil Group – life and career – where one can access contents and applications made available by the HR Portal, namely the history of personal information (salary, holidays, etc.), and information related to taxation and employment legislation or healthcare support and protocols.

There are a further two tabs with the following:

› General information and Group-related news – Home – and warnings, events, and news on each employee’s company;

› Information on the organisational structure of the Group and the corporate sites of integrated companies – Our group – in addition to access to information pertaining to the various business areas and the countries in which the Group operates.

AVAILABLE APPLICATIONS

The teams responsible for the portal have been developing diferent functions which aim at allowing each of its users to access all essential information to perform their functions.
