CONCERT “PORTUGAL
AND ANGOLA LIVE”
Completing the inauguration of the
exhibition and forming part of the
centennial commemorations of Manuel
António da Mota, the same evening a
concert was held in the Bom Sucesso
Market, symbolising the passion which
he felt for both Portugal and Angola,
both of them countries where he felt
completely at home.
In the light of Manuel António da Mota's
passion for the two countries, Rui Veloso
and Yola Semedo, two of the most
important artists in these two countries’
musical scene, were invited along with
Kika, a promising Portuguese newcomer
opening the which was hosted by by Júlio
Magalhães.
With a relaxed and friendly atmosphere,
the invited artists interacted intimately
with the audience to share their music
in a genuinely enjoyable cultural event
where Portugal and Angola came
together.
In an event attended by an audience of
more than a thousand, the concert was a
genuinely well-deserved tribute to Manuel
António da Mota.
