“We are pleased that we completed the
construction and obtained its permit
right on schedule so that the first
owners will be able to start moving in.
We currently have 60% of the flats sold.
Devonská Barrandov offers quality
modern housing at a good price and
thanks to the diversity of the sizes
and layouts of the flats, families with
children, couples and singles all have
something from which to choose.
For those who are interested we have
several furnished showroom flats
available, which will help give people
a better idea of how they could furnish

their flat here in Devonská Barrandov,”
stated Miroslava Mikulicová, a sales
specialist for Mota-Engil Real Estate.
The modern and dynamically-designed
buildings with an irregular layout and
articulated façades bring to mind the

of the Bohemian Barrandov of the thirties.
The materials and colours used reflect the
effort to balance the white and grey colours
with warm and striking shades of yellow
and red. The project is embedded into
a slight incline that rises in a staggered
manner from Devonská Street.
Architect Miroslava Tylšová from studio
Apris described the genesis of the
project: “When we stood here for the first
time, on the hilly terrain amidst the wild
plants, it was a bit like no man’s land.
Therefore from the very first designs and
sketches of the urban concept we placed
an emphasis on the integration of a
pleasant public space. The developer told
us about this idea and so a small “square”
with a playground and greenery could be
created here, lined by the surrounding
buildings and Devonská Street.”
The architectural design and actual shape
of the buildings made sure enough space
was preserved for sunny and beautiful
views. These panoramas over the Vltava
River all the way to Vyšehrad and on to
Prague, which not only the flats on the
upper floors provide, excel thanks to the
project’s placement on the Barrandov
hill. “One of the other important factors
of living here is the way the interior
is connected with the private outdoor
area. That is why the flats have spacious
balconies, yards in the case of the ground
floor, and the receding uppermost floors
have large rooftop terraces,” added the
architect.
