The Manuel António da Mota Foundation
and the Mota-Engil Group held
the exhibition “Erguer o Futuro comOrgulho
no Passado” (Building the Future with Pride
in the Past) which is a tribute to the Group’s
founder and illustrates the life and work
of an outstanding 20
th
century character
Sucesso Market. This initiative marks the
closure of the centennial commemorations
of Manuel António Mota, the founder of
the Mota-Engil Group.
Including little-known aspects of the life and
work of Manuel António da Mota, as well as
that of the Mota-Engil Group to which he
devoted so much of his life, the exhibition
sets out a chronology of the main events
involving the company and its founder
and covering the period between 1913 and
the present day in the context of events
The Manuel António da Mota Foundation,
together with the Mota-Engil Group,
