MARCH 2014
“As the title of the exhibition states – Building the Future with Pride in the
Past – this isn’t a time for nostalgia for the past because nostalgia is felt here in
the heart, this is a life event, an event in the life of a company which is both alive
and kicking, alive with the memory of my father and the spirit which he
embodies, his ambition, his forward thinking, his hard work and which several
generations of managers and Group employees have made into a vital part of the
Portuguese economy.
From here we look back with pride at our past and – if you will allow me to be
so bold - it must be with pride that my father sees what we are doing today.
Of course this is due not only to the Mota family and the directors. It is also due to
our employees, customers, suppliers and friends who are here today and are an
incentive for us to carry on.
We take great pride in what we’re doing. We have a management team just as we
have had in the past – of the highest quality. We have the capacity to grow, we have
the markets where we can grow, we have a will to work hard and to contribute to
the company’s growth and therefore, as a family which is united as we are, myself
and my sisters, we gather all of the conditions necessary to go on growing and,
something which I am certain my father would hope to see, to allow the third
generation to grow as well. Many thanks.”
