  RECORD INVOICING
AND ORDER BOOK VALUE IN 2018
NET INCOME TOTALLED 24 MILLION EUROS.
 n 2018, the Mota‐Engil Group achieved a growth of 8%
in turnover, reaching
2,802 million euros, a record value for the Group. It recorded invoicing growth in all regions where it operates – Europe, Africa and Latin America.
The Group EBITDA was 407 million euros, with a margin of 15%, maintaining one of the best operating margins in the sector internationally.
Regarding the order book, an essential barometer of the future trend of activity, Mota‐Engil achieved a significant record of 5,465 million euros in December. This is the highest value ever registered by the Group, which, at the end of 2018, had a value equivalent to more than two years of activity, especially in Africa, where it has 50% of this value.
The Mota‐Engil Group presented a net income of 24 million euros, compared
to 2 million euros registered in the corresponding period.
ANALYSIS BY REGIONS:
Europe
Turnover reached 859 million euros,
an increase of 4%, with a decrease of 8% in the EBITDA margin.
With an order book of 1,226 million euros in Europe, Mota‐Engil has a buoyant development perspective
for the region, notably thanks to the positive prospects of investment in the Portuguese infrastructure market over the coming years.
The environmental segment presented a stabilised level vis‐à‐vis the previous year (+1%), with a 28% margin, maintaining
as a focus of its strategy to continue the EGF Investment Plan for the 2019‐2021 period and consolidate the growing internationalisation of business, of which Côte d'Ivoire is the most recent example.
