ECB CARRIES OUT WORKS TO ENSURE GREATER SAFETY
IN THE TAILINGS DAMS
VALE HIRES ECB FOR THE EXECUTION OF CONTAINMENT AND EXPANSION WORKS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE GONGO SOCO AND B3/B4 DAMS.
In order to ensure the full safety of the residents of the regions where there are tailings dams, VALE has been developing actions on the ground to ensure the best practices in the market.
Thus, in addition to preventive actions with the communities, VALE is supporting the authorities in carrying out simulations with local populations. At the same time, VALE hired companies to carry out works that are considered important to reinforce the safety of the existing infrastructure.
Aware of the activities to develop,
ECB has positioned itself as a strategic partner with VALE, as a qualified entity
to support the company in whatever is necessary. Currently, ECB operates in the Gongo Soco and B3/B4 dams effectively, ensuring the safety of the population and the integrity of VALE’s structures.
The goal of the works is to reduce impacts and ensure the reinforcement
of the safety of the population and
the integrity of VALE’s structures,
in addition to guaranteeing water supply. The challenges are complex and the responsibility is significant, but ECB, together with VALE, reaffirm that all preventive measures are underway.
