availability of an international network of facilities in these markets, and reinforce the management competencies (made available through the local structures of Mota-Engil

Group) and fnancial capacity for the investments to be jointly assumed by the institutional partners.

On 4 th March at a ceremony at the CGD Grand Hall the Partnership Agreement between Mota-Engil Indústria e Inovação, AICEP Capital Global and Caixa Capital for support to the internationalization of Portuguese SMC’s was publicly presented and signed.

The project aims at being far-reaching in the selection and approval of companies which are to be supported, favouring the industrial ones with an already tested and successful business model in Portugal.

Following the public presentation, we started our work in a consistent manner by presenting the project to several organisations and corporate associations spread throughout the countries.

Merely one month after the presentation, it is with great satisfaction that we note that 35 applications have already been received from companies belonging to various activity sectors and aiming at a variety of target markets.

This allows us to face the future of this project with greater optimism and to have the ambition of reaching the set targets and of overcoming them.

This initiative will also allow the Portuguese SMCs of the industrial sector to invest in growth within external markets, namely in more than ten markets where the Mota-Engil Group is present.
