Mota-Engil Central Europe, a subsidiary company of the Mota-Engil Group was awarded a contract for the construction of a section of the S17 highway in Poland. This projects amounts to approximately Euro 158 million.

The work will be carried out in a consortium, in which Mota-Engil Central Europe, holding a 62% stake, will be leader, thus assuming a 98-million Euro portfolio.

The construction of the 24.5 km stretch will be concluded within a period of 24 months and was awarded by the General Directorate for Roads and Highways - Lublin Delegation.

This award allows Mota-Engil Central Europe to increasingly assert itself in the construction of road infrastructures in Poland, holding a portfolio that exceeds 500 million Euros and assumes today the position of a benchmark company within the Polish construction market.

Operating in Central Europe since 1997, Poland features as the main Mota-Engil Group market due to its size and level of activity. In 2009, Mota-Engil Central Europe was created and became the action platform for Central Europe.

The hydraulic infrastructure of the Dobříš biological and mechanical waste water treatment plant in the Czech Republic was inaugurated.

This 3.3 million-euro work of the responsibility of Mota-Engil Central Europe, involved the reconstruction and capacity increase of the existing water treatment plant. Note that all Works were carried out while the infrastructure was operating.

The ofcial ceremony counted with the presence of the Mayor of the Dobříš Town Council and of the Portuguese Ambassador in the CzechRepublic.

Amongst other guests, were representatives of the State Environmental Fund, of the Town Council and of Mota-Engil Central Europe.
