Mota-Engil wins three schools

Mota-Engil Minerals and Mining participated in the Mining Indaba Conference, held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event, that took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre has attracted minning analysts, fund managers, investment specialists and fnanciers from around the world for corporate presentations on themost recent and successful projects – that provide the foundation for the diversifcation of assets

and the growth of institutional portfolios. Government presentations of several nations update policies and incentives for potential partners. Participation in this event is limited to players in the industry and professional investors. Speakers are by invitation and include renowned economists, industry analysts and minning managers.

TheMota-Engil delegates that participated in the Mining Indaba Conference this year gained detailed knowledge on investment- -related risks and opportunities in more

than 130 countries rich in minerals and had the opportunity of personallymeeting politicians of said nations. Case studies – both successful and unsuccessful - were analysed.

Mining Indaba ofers an ideal platform on which to build shareholder value, thus promoting exposure to the more infuent professionals specialized in natural resources worldwide. This conference was therefore a good investment for the future of Mota-Engil Minerals and Mining.

The Modernisation Programme of Parque Escolar has gone into its third phase and Mota-Engil was awarded three High Schools in the District of Setúbal: the Lima de Freitas Elementary and High School, the D.João II High School and the Pinhal Novo High School.

These schools built at the end of the 80’s / beginning of the 90’s had no relevant works made to them till date.

The overall amount of the award totals more than 37 million euros.The main works to be carried out at the three schools include the refurbishment of the existing facilities (redevelopment of spaces, improvement of interiors and possible works on the super-structures), total remodelling of electrical infrastructures, of telecommunications and of the water and sewage system and works on the outer side and sports areas.
