SINERGIA 37
PEOPLE
grow@ME INITIATIVE
› Workshop SINERGI@
In order to support the mentioned goal and upon identifcation of the need and importance to progressively follow up on the personal and professional growth of the now Mota-Engil employees, an initiative was created which we call grow@ME.
grow@ME is an initiative of individualized coaching that enables identifying the characteristics, abilities, motivations and potential of eachparticipant andpromoting actions that contribute towards better self-knowledge, as well as strengthening development areas.
This initiative is divided into three key moments:
› Kick-of: the participants's frst contact through structured Active School training, focusing on the development of cross-curricular competencies.
› First step: includes a more intensive contact with the initiative, geared at carrying out an initial survey on their characteristics, abilities, skills, capabilities and motivations. It will be followed up with an individualized Action Plan to enable testing a range of development areas.
› Long run: this is the longest moment, which will take place over a 6 month period and which is geared at widening the feld of analysis and action into improvement and development areas that are key to meet their personal develop mental needs.
To achieve these key moments, we highlight the following initiatives: a visit to Mota-Engil Energia, where it was possible to count on the presence of Pedro Montalvão, Engineer, (CEO of ME Energia),
who captured the participants' attention, making a corporate presentation of this new business area, and referring particularly to its framework, emergence, organization and future projects.
The exchange of experiences, called ME 360º, in which each participant received a classmate in their internship area and vice versa – has as mission to guide them and enable them to understand the "modus operandi" of that area and involve them in theexpectedactivitiesand tasks. Thus, they were allowed to attain a deeper knowledge of diferent areas and performance models of the various Group units.
The feedback received and the balance made in conjunction with the Trainees was very positive.
Once this 2 nd moment was fnalised, "long run" began, with yet another coaching session held in early April, which aimed to monitor the evolution and progress of coachees relative to the frst session.
Within the scope of the frst edition of the start @ME Programme and continuing the sequence of stages defned
for it, last January began the fourth and fnal stage - @ME Active School. This stage was aimed at promoting new contact among the group of 16 former Trainees, with the goal of developing a set of cross-curricular competencies for their future development
within the Group.
