INDAQUA promotes multiple and frequent environmental education-related initiatives, especially for children and youth communities. We highlight that, with the seal of the National Commission of UNESCO the initiatives are carried out in schools of the communities where the company operates: "Clean drinking water is good for our health and helps us grow."

INDAQUA’s relationship with its customers is supported by an integrated computer system of customer management, SAP IS-U, tailor-made to the needs of the various concessions.

SAP IS-U is a powerful tool for the area and according to current concepts it is defned as a Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM). The system relies on two components: a procedure for the detailed diagnosis of the processes in the various concessions, and customer relations.

ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENT

The management of water loss in water supply systems due to its ecological and economic importance, is the most pressing goal to fulfll in short term. INDAQUA’s knowledge developed and promoted a programme to reduce loss, involving techniques of design and construction as well as operating and management procedures, aimed at substantially reducing the amount of water not billed. It has been successfully implemented in all its concessions, with cases in which reductions achieved over 30% in absolute value.

The project is being promoted at the primary schools of Vila do Conde, Oporto, Trofa, Fafe, Feira and Santo Tirso. That is, in the six municipalities where the company holds the concession for water distribution.

This is an action exclusively dedicated to the youth in 5th grade and aims at environmental preservation, by teaching the rights habits inwater consumption.

Thus, INDAQUA ensures its policy of proximity by promoting social

responsibility actions in local communities, with the aim of being a strong and efective partner in their development.
