ENSURES CERTIFICATION AT NOVICER
THE CERTIFICATION OF THE CONTROL OF CERAMIC BRICK PRODUCTION WAS SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVED, BECOMING A DIFFERENTIATING ELEMENT AND A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE IN THE MARKET.

Mota‐Engil Angola has defined as
a strategic objective regulating and standardising the production of its associated factories, having therefore moved forward with the certification of the Factory Production Control
of Ceramic Bricks, manufactured
at NOVICER.
The process was led by Mota‐Engil Angola’s Quality Management and
by NOVICER, and enabled the implementation and reinforcement of the production process methodologies in the
phases of pre‐preparation, preparation, forming, drying and firing, packaging, and despatch. This action was also supported by the Central Laboratory and by Safety and Environment, and there were multiple training sessions for employees.
The NOVICER factory, located in the town of Cacuaco, province of Luanda, is widely renowned in Angola, as it leads the production of ceramic bricks both in current masonry and in TERMOBRICK and BRICK masonry.
In addition to the competitive advantage of this production control, the methodologies implemented under the new certification help reduce the amount of non‐compliant and wasted product.
This certification process relied on
the partnership of IANORQ – Instituto Angolano de Normalização e Qualidade (Angolan Institute for Standardisation and Quality) and Mota‐Engil Angola, and the entity chosen by NOVICER was CERTIF – Associação para a Certificação (Association for Certification).
