  MOTA-ENGIL
SIGNS CONTRACT WITH TOTAL
THE COMMERCIAL AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP PROMISES TO LEVERAGE NEW PROJECTS IN AFRICA.
      1
                    Mota‐Engil Engenharia e Construção África, S.A (MEECA) and TOTAL Outre‐Mer (TOTAL) signed a commercial and strategic partnership agreement
for the African region, leveraging two principles of strategic guidance within the scope of the areas of:
1. Procurement and Logistics:
contracting and promotion of core supply partnerships and harmonisation of the purchasing management model via Supply Framework Agreements;
2. Commercial: sharing of information on projects of common interest related to the development and commercial expansion plan in the region.
Generally, TOTAL will consider MEECA and its affiliates in the region as “strategic
clients” in access to privileged services, in the stable supply of products at competitive and harmonised prices and conditions.
TOTAL will encourage its affiliates
to develop and strengthen the local relationships to better understand
the specificities of the projects in the region, adapting to this end: installed capacities, integrated energy supply solutions (HSE, fuel, lubricants, logistics, storage, services, etc.) and management methodologies that, with a rationale of local “account management” supported by the scaling of the respective core
areas, translate into greater efficiency and operating performance.
This cooperation will also enable Mota‐Engil, through access to tenders for works that TOTAL promotes in
the region, to grow and highlight its experience in the construction area and infrastructure projects in sectors such as energy, thus boosting the growth of its business portfolio.
