MAMF SPONSORS THE 18TH
MISSION OF HEALTH4MOZ
Initiative took place in Nampula, Zambezia and Sofala.
                                     The Manuel António da Mota Foundation (MAMF), as part of the Mota‐Engil African Initiatives project, sponsored the 18th Mission of Health4Moz.
The main objectives of the awareness‐ raising and training campaign on
the causal factors of chronic kidney disease are to train primary healthcare professionals in the prevention and screening of risk factors for chronic kidney disease, namely dietary risk behaviours, diabetes and hypertension, with another objective being to raise
The 5th Annual Oil and Gas Convention is organized by the Uganda Chamber
of Mines and Oil in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. The event has established itself as an effective business platform
awareness and educate the population on the importance of preventive behaviours.
The target population for training was around 50 professionals from the primary healthcare units in the provinces of Nampula, Zambezia and Sofala, covering, within the scope of awareness, screening and education, around two thousand adult citizens who were targeted by this mission.
The field work had three dates:
• Nampula (Nampula) – 11 to 14 February – coordination by Dr. Munira Abudou, Provincial Director of Health and Dr. Américo Barata, Chief Physician.
• Quelimare (Zambezia) – 24 February to 6 March – coordination by Dr. Oscar
UGANDA
Harwad, Chief Physician and Dr. Halley, Provincial Manager of health services.
• Beira (Sofala) – 6 to 15 March – coordination by Dr. Priscilla Felimone, Chief Physician
MAMF sponsored this mission with a total value of €3,994.26, thus financing all the material related to the project, travel and food.
A mission such as this never fails to move the Manuel António da Mota Foundation. The importance of prevention screening for diseases that affect both children
and adults is a very important step for Health4Moz and for MAMF.
   MOTA-ENGIL UGANDA TH WAS PRESENT AT THE 5
OIL AND GAS CONVENTION
The 5th Annual Oil and Gas Convention is organized by the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Oil.
 for the development and strengthening of mutually beneficial partnerships among all stakeholders. This year's event took place in Munyonyo Resort under the theme” Decision time of 2019: "countdown to commercialization”.
This year Mota‐Engil Africa‐Uganda, participated in the event and received the visit at our stand of Peter Lokeris, Minister of State for Minerals in the Cabinet of Uganda, and Elly Karuhanga, the Chairman on Uganda Chambers of Petroleum and Mines.
