NEW CONTRACT AWARDS
FOR MOTA‐ENGIL PERU
THE COMPANY WILL BUILD A PORT, AN IMPORTANT ROAD ACCESS AND THE 4TH STAGE OF THE TALAR
DE NIEVE UCRO II DAM.
 In the first half of this year, Mota‐Engil Peru won several contracts, of which three important works stand out: in
the area of mining infrastructure, the construction of the 4th stage of the Talar de Nieve Ucro II Dam was awarded, in the area of sea works, Mota‐Engil will carry out the construction of a port
for one of the most important mining projects in the country, and in road works it will carry out the maintenance and conservation of the road corridor of the Pumahuasi bridge, in the Ucayali region.
These awarding contracts confirm Mota‐Engil’s versatility and technical capacity to carry out top‐level work in the different areas of engineering and construction.
EXPANSION OF THE NIEVE
UCRO II DAM
Mota‐Engil Peru will carry out the construction of the 4th stage of the Nieve Ucro II Dam deposit for the mining company Raura SA, which is dedicated to the exploration and processing of
polymetallic minerals. This work is being carried out in the Huánuco region and will enable the storage of approximately 475,381 m3 of tailings.
The work consists of increasing the
dam from the existing height (4,589 m above sea level) to 4,593 m above sea level, maintaining an overall width of six metres. The works will be carried out considering stage 4A and stage 4B, and at each stage an elevation of two metres is made in the dam. Additionally, the drainage system and the tank lining system are also implemented.
This work, with a duration of six months, represents an opportunity for Mota‐Engil Peru to continue to show its commitment to meet the established deadlines, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in its execution.
PORT MARINE FACILITIES
Mota‐Engil Peru will carry out the construction of a port, inserted in the Mina Justa megaproject, in the region of Ica, in southern Peru, in order to
allow the project to use salt water in its operations.
The construction of the pier will have
a base of piles and metal structures and a length of more than 230 m. Standing out among the works to be carried out are the installation of pumps for the water system, the installation of the seal, electrical connections and installation
of electric and instrumentation cables. This important work will be the first metal port built by Mota‐Engil Peru, which demonstrates the company’s ability to adapt to face new challenges.
MAINTENANCE OF THE ROAD CORRIDOR: PUMAHUASI BRIDGE – PUCALLPA
Mota‐Engil Peru also took on the challenge of managing, maintaining and providing emergency services for the Pumahuasi Bridge road corridor, in the Ucayali region. Along the 254.7 km of road, work will be carried out to repair the surface and correct cracks, in addition to work in road signs. This work will improve the state of the road and enable safer transit traffic.
