  TWO NEW SCHOOLS
DESIGNED AND BUILT BY MEIC
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR IN IRELAND.
                          A s part of the Rapid Build School Framework project,
implemented by the Irish Ministry of Education and for which
Mota‐Engil Ireland Construction (MEIC) successfully pre‐qualified in September 2017, the contract award for the design and construction of two schools, Maynooth ETNS and St Francis SS, was recently formalised, with an estimated total value of 12.2 million euros.
With this contract award, MEIC is able to take an important step in the construction industry in the market of the Republic of Ireland.
LOT 3 – MAYNOOTH ETNS
This project is located at Celbridge Road, Maynooth, Co. Kildare in the eastern part of the Republic of Ireland.
Lot 3 consists of the design and construction of a new primary school building with two floors and 18 classrooms and of the demolition of the existing school’s structure.
The work has a total duration of 74 weeks and will be carried out in two phases:
• Phase 1A, lasting 38 weeks: Construction of a two‐storey building with 1,820 m2, 8 classrooms, a 495 m2 wing dedicated to special education, including mechanical and electrical installations and external work.
• Phase 1B, lasting six weeks: Occupation of the building executed in phase 1 and demolition of the existing building.
• Phase 2, lasting 30 weeks: Construction of a two‐storey building with 885 m2,
