EGF PRESENTS CHALLENGES
FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS
THE COMPANY DEFINED GOALS AND STRATEGIES FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS, WHICH PROMISE TO BE EVEN MORE CHALLENGING DUE TO THE DECISIONS OF THE REGULATORY BODY FOR THE SECTOR.

T he EGF presented the challenges for the next three years at a
national meeting of employees of the holding and of the 11 concessionaires,
which was held in Loures, Portugal.
The conclusions and synergies generated, throughout a year of key corporate acivities, by the work groups ‐ of employees ‐ were presented at the meeting. The concrete goals and strategies to be followed in the next three‐year period were established to conquer the challenges for the sector raised by the new Strategic Plan (PERSU 2020+).
During the meeting, various important topics were debated, including the expansion of the partnerships with
the municipalities, communications, safety, selective collection, technological adaptations and innovation.
EGF Chairwoman Gabriela Ventura explained that “we are facing a three‐year period with decisions by the regulatory body that are extremely penalising, but
I am confident that, with the installed capacity, the motivation and the great cohesion we have in the companies,
we will come out the other side of this challenge stronger than ever.”
“These groups helped to accelerate the work of penetration across the companies, standardising procedures, finding good practices and measures that could be used and replicated throughout the entire Group to improve the performance of the companies and the Group as a whole, building a corporate philosophy and discovering technical capacities and leadership skills of processes and of
the people that lay hidden and must be
