Taking advantage of the recent official visit of the President of the Republic
of Mozambique to Portugal, when
the Portuguese President classified Mozambique as a “sister country”, Aníbal Leite classified the current relations between the two countries
as being “of cooperation and understanding”, for, in his words, “both countries have unique conditions to create business opportunities between them due to their existing relationship of trust. Today, there is room for

Portuguese companies to work in Mozambique, just as there is room for Mozambican companies to work in Portugal. The potential for cooperation is enormous, but it has to be advantageous for both countries to achieve an investment‐fostering economic environment.”
As for Mota‐Engil, he stated, “we will always be, as we have been for the last 28 years, available to continue to promote the strengthening of economic ties between Mozambique and Portugal.”

Global Powers of Construction
In Deloitte’s annual study, called “Global Powers of Construction”, Mota‐Engil was once again in the Top 100, among the world’s largest construction companies, in the 74th position.
Deloitte’s ranking is composed only of companies listed on stock exchanges and ranks the 100 largest construction companies according to their revenues, and Mota‐Engil has been part of this ranking for the last few years.
