SECOND SAFETY CAMPAIGN FOR PROPER USE OF LADDERS AND STEPLADDERS
THIS INITIATIVE IS IN LINE WITH THE 2020 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES.
As part of the ongoing reinforcement
of behavioural aspects and day‐to‐day safety practices, which is an individual responsibility of all employees, Manvia has just launched the following collection – “Manuel Via and Accident Prevention – Volume 1: Work planning and ladder and stepladder use”.
In this first volume, employee “Manuel Via” draws attention to the importance of efficient work planning, with particular focus on the
following aspects:
• Ensuring the availability and pre‐checking of resources, specifically,
the Individual Protection Equipment (IPE) and the Work Equipment (WE);
• Delimiting and signposting intervention sites;
• Working as a team;
• Communicating and reporting Work
Accidents (WA) and Incidents (WI).
As part of the “I practice safety at all times” campaign, promoted by the Department of Quality, Environment and Safety (DQES), this collection’s main goal is to reinforce responsible safety practices as an essential factor in the prevention of work accidents
and incidents, and at the same time, reinforce the need for each employee to establish safe work methods and practices.
This initiative is in line with the 2020 strategic objectives, which call for reducing accident rates.
